Philosophy of Care
As a Nurse Practitioner, I encourage a holistic approach to medicine in addition to other medical management when necessary. Discussing the importance of diet, exercise, screenings and preventative medicine helps to reduce the prevalence of illness and improves the quality of life. Utilizing evidence-based care and taking consideration of patient preferences is essential to include in the plan of care, as this helps to increase compliance and improve outcomes. I understand that medicine can be challenging and overwhelming, but my goal is to meet the patient half way and create a mutually respectful relationship with a focus on health and wellness.

Why I Entered Medicine
I am fascinated with science and found the medical field to be very interesting. I enjoy helping people and felt that becoming a nurse was an excellent way to connect with people and help them in their time of need. After years of being a nurse, I furthered my education and became a Nurse Practitioner so I could have more independence in my role and be able to manage patient care more in depth.

Personal Interests
I love spending time with my family and friends. I am a novice crafter, and enjoy hiking, rock climbing, watching movies, baking, cooking and living in the moment.

Community Involvement
I volunteer at my children's school, the local food bank and assist with Scouting for Food for Scouts of America.
