Joseph Bognet, D.O. graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering followed by a Master's of Science Degree in Metallurgical Engineering. He went on to work in the Nuclear Engineering arena until he followed his dream and true passion which was medicine. He then completed his medical training and graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Bognet hails from the Hazleton Area, where many of his large family still reside. He completed his residency at Sacred Heart Family Practice Residency Program and shortly after opened his private, independent family medicine practice known as Bognet Medical Associates, P.C.

He is married to his wife, Deb, Office Manager of the practice, and they have a college-aged daughter who attends DeSales University. Together they offer a very comfortable, family-oriented office setting - with many a story of their family life being shared in the exam rooms. Sometimes they debate about whose stories are better!

Dr. Bognet's goals for his patients are to have them feel the best they ever felt! He is an advocate for weight management, hormone replacement therapy and lab results. He reviews every lab result with the patient at his side, making notations and recommendations which includes traditional medicine as well as nutritional supplements.
