Born and raised in Monroe County, Dr. Borger graduated from Pleasant Valley HS, and received her undergraduate degree from the Pennsylvania State University. She then attended Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr. Borger completed residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and has been practicing for 26 years. Along with her husband of 23 years, she has raised 4 children.

Dr. Borger had early exposure to family members affected by polio, cancer, and genetic disorders. She saw medicine as a way to help others by applying advances in science. Dr. Borger enjoys practicing in a smaller office where patients can easily communicate with her and her staff, and access to appointments is not a barrier. Due to the rapidly changing and complex medical environment, she wants her patients to feel free to ask questions and be assured she will strive to give them up to date science-based guidance.
