Physicians can share information and effectively coordinate care with other physician providers and partners, expand ancillary patient care services, and create information system capabilities for enhanced contract negotiations and quality improvement.

Will do the following for new sites:

  • Determine the capability of existing equipment
  • Coordinate installation of communication lines and equipment
  • Outline and review standard billing procedures
  • Provide on-site computer training

The IS Department routinely will:

  • Evaluate equipment needs for divisions and central offices
  • Research and implement latest software programs
  • Maintain software policy tables
  • Maintain system security
  • Troubleshoot and monitor software and hardware problems
  • Maintain and manage the in-house Software Training Department
  • Maintain main frame Operating System
  • Monitor system performance and procedures including back-up/transmission
  • Monitor/maintain Frame Relay communication of satellite sites
  • Review fee schedule changes and implement the changes under direction of the physicians
  • Design specialized billing reports and run routine reports
